CHALLENGE
Design a magazine that communicates its editorial voice through cohesive typography, imagery, and layout. Develop a unified visual system that carries consistently across the cover, table of contents, and feature spreads.
Solution
Antiquity reimagines the world of archaeology for a contemporary audience. The design positions the field not as distant or academic, but as alive, visual, and deeply human. The solution was to build a clear typographic and grid system that organizes complex information into an elegant, accessible rhythm. A structured yet flexible asymmetrical grid creates movement across each spread, guiding the reader’s eye naturally while preventing the content from feeling rigid or overwhelming. A restrained palette and balanced composition allow the photography and artifacts to hold attention, while the hierarchy leads readers through each story with clarity. The publication transforms archaeology into an experience of discovery, where design becomes a lens through which the past feels immediate and relevant.
